COVID-19 and your Wedding

For those of you out there missing the regular world (pretty much everyone), we feel you! The last few weeks have been a major adjustment for everyone. I don’t know about you, but we are missing our clients and working on beautiful flowers. Jennifer has even been picking wildflowers in her neighborhood to play with because our floral options are limited right now.

To the Brides that have had to postpone due to COVID-19, we will be here to ensure you are looked after! We know it is disappointing, but take this time to ensure you have everything you need. Take the extra step to help your photographer by making sure you have items for flat lay photos like: an invitation and response card or perhaps an heirloom ring box for your rings. Try to take this time to make sure you have everything ready to go. I know from a planner’s perspective, I’m taking this time to make lists and double check them for upcoming weddings. Also, please be patient with your vendors as we are navigating uncharted waters together.

We all know, especially now, sometimes things don’t always go as planned. As we have conversed with our wedding industry colleagues, there seems to be a general consensus for 2020 brides that are having to postpone: PLEASE consider rescheduling for a date later in this calendar year. With so many brides rescheduling and brides already booking for 2021, the new year will be overrun with weddings. Venues and vendors will be taking on hundreds of additional events to make up for this year.

Which brings me to next year, 2021 Brides – PLEASE go ahead and reach out to your venues, vendors and planners to get your date on the books. It may seem crazy, but you will be so happy you did it.

If you need help with rescheduling or when you find yourself planning your upcoming wedding, please contact us. We would love to be a part of your special day!

Happy Planning!

Rebekah & Jennifer
